I can’t tell you how honored I am to be asked to curate a modern quilt exhibit for the Virginia Quilt Museum! The exhibit will run September 5 – December 15, 2017 and will feature quilts in six categories: Improvisation, Alternate Gridwork, Appliqué, Foundation Piecing, Use of Negative Space and Group Quilt. I cannot wait to see the quilts on display. I’m sure we’ll have some creative genius in the house! This is a juried exhibit and we are planning an Artist’s Reception (date TBD). The museum is in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley and will be a fabulous visit during fall in Virginia when the color on the trees are glorious.
