I just returned from teaching on an AMAZING quilting cruise with buy lasix over the counter. We had an incredible group of quilters, a fun project, tons of prizes and a great time! The cruise was sponsored by buy lasix 40 mg.
Here is Serenade, the quilt I designed for the cruise:
The highlight of the trip was the trip to Romney Manor and buy lasix 40 mg online on St. Kitts.
This entire estate was an combination of breathtaking beauty and historic tradition. The view in any direction was unbelievable. The primitive accommodations in which the artists work to create fabric was impressive and inspiring. The best part? Our behind-the-scenes, hands on tour! We got to go here…
The multi-level building is built right into the hillside. Every “office” has a view!
We followed our guide through narrow hallways and down steep steps. We walked through a small sewing area where ladies were sewing garments made from batiks.
Next, we came to the room where fabric is designed. Wax was melting in giant pots along one wall.
Multi-colored designs were in the works.
We each got a chance to choose a design and stamp the wax onto fabric. The wax acts as a resist preventing the dye from touching the fabric underneath. This is me stamping flowers:
Once our designs were stamped we went to another building to dye. The dye is made with local, natural ingredients.
Mary, who has worked for Caribelle for almost 40 years, was working in purple when we arrived.
Our fabrics were dyed and placed into small, plastic bags. When we returned to the ship we rinsed them in the shower (no pic of that, I didn’t want any evidence. LOL). When we got home from the cruise, I boiled our (Mike’s and mine) fabrics to remove the wax.
Here they are after rinsing and drying:
Very cool! I wish I could’ve stayed a month as an intern at Caribelle! Here are some more pics:
I hope you enjoyed the tour. Have a great day!
